Why a Skin Consultation?
We offer a wide range of treatments and treatment plans here at Carlow Laser & Skin Clinic so it can be hard to know where to start and what will work best for you if you’ve never been with us before. This is where a skin consultation will come in with our Skincare Specialist.
We want to get to know you and your skin, your concerns and the changes that can occur in your skin. When you come in for a consultation you start your relationship with Carlow Laser & Skin Clinic in the best possible way.
What happens during a Skin Consultation?
Our skin consultations last for 20 minutes and during this time your therapist will ask questions like;
What are your main skin concerns?
What is your current skincare routine?
What allergies do you have?
What do you want to achieve from your treatments?
Have you had any treatments before and were they effective?
The consultation does not include any treatments in it so if you would like to schedule time for a treatment afterwards be sure to book the time when arranging your consultation.
What happens next?
When your skin consultation our therapist will discuss a treatment plan tailored just for you. They may recommend a course of treatments to give you the best results over several treatments, depending on your skin concerns.
For our clients with issues such as Acne or Rosacea we will be able to recommend products to use at home as well as a treatment plan to achieve the best results.
Some treatments which may be recommended such as Laser Hair Removal and IPL will require a patch test before treatment can be carried out. Some clients may need to prepare their skin with specific products before moving on to their treatment. All of this will be explained during your consultation by your therapist.
